Newly elected Queen of the small planet of Naboo, Queen Amidala's leadership is severely tested when her planet is blockaded by the greedy Trade Federation. Surrounded on all sides by unseen enemies, she refuses to to give in to the pressures that would lead her people into war.

When her bid for help from the Republican Senate fails, Queen Amidala returns to her besieged planet, carrying a secret she keepos even from her Jedi protectors. With the help of the two Jedi Knights, a small boy, and an army of primitives, she begins the battle to bring freedom back to her people.

Natalie Portman, Personal Bio

Portman is not her real name, for reasons of privacy, she uses her grandmothers maiden name. Born in Jerusalem, at the age of 3 Natalie moved to Maryland, to Connecticut at the age of 7. She now lives in Long Island. Her father is a doctor and her mother is an artist. Natalie works as a model and actress, but she focuses more on acting.

Natalie is an only child, and became a pure vegetarian at age 8 after seeing a chicken get roasted at a doctors conference with her father. She has a dog named Noodles - half Poodle - half Schnauzer. She was discovered in a pizza parlor in New York at age 11 by a modeling agent from Revlon, but she decided she'd rather act, so they introduced her to some acting agents. Natalie made her debut as an actress on 'The Professional'.
